KAREN ROSSI WORKSHOPS!
When she was first beginning her fine arts career, Karen enjoyed teaching children's "Birthday Party Workshops" such as t-shirt decorating and mobile-making. In remembering how much fun those classes were, she's decided to return to teaching workshops for both kids and adults. These classes are available at several local art centers or at Karen's studio location.

Throughout the year, Karen teaches at a number of community art centers in Connecticut. She teaches a wide range of classes throughout the year, focusing on various topics from sculpture to garden art to art-business issues and more! A listing of art centers is available in the righthand column.

SUMMER KIDS WORKSHOPS:
Thursdays from 10 AM - Noon - $15 per child

JULY 30: DECORATIVE BIRD HOUSE
Use old milk cartons and natural materials to create a recycled, “go green” project. This decorative bird house will be a creative way to use easily-accessible materials in a unique fashion.

AUGUST 6: TOTEM POLES
Using logs from a local lumberyard, create your very own totem pole. Logs will be embellished with twigs, wire, metal, and beads before being painted to look like authentic, indigenous totem poles.

AUGUST 20: WINDSOCKS
Catch some of the summer breezes with a handmade windsock, made of paper and decorated with various materials. Also, learn about wind power and weathervanes.

AUGUST 27: “TEE” PARTY
Bring an old t-shirt and transform it into a work of art! Learn basic sewing stitches, try applique, add beads, or use fabric paints to decorate and create your very own fashion statement!
