WAVE
GALLERY Connecting
with Friends Connecting with old friends is something that Karen
has been doing a lot of lately. As she has jumped back into the fine art and gallery
circuit, she's found herself in the company of many longtime friends. She recently
reconnected with Wave Gallery owner, Phylis Satin. Years ago, she had her original
metal pieces on display at Wave. Now, she has created gift product that is being
displayed at the New Haven gallery. Handmade greeting cards from Karen's new Asian-inspired
"Fortune
Cookie" collection, as well as exclusive New Haven-themed cards are now
for sale at Wave. First
Thursday Wave Gallery
participates in New Haven's monthly "First
Thursday" events. Each month, they sponsor an artist, whose work is displayed
in their window and promoted on "First Thursday". Karen's original sculptures,
cards, plaques, and ornaments will be available at this month's "First Thursday"
celebration, on September 6th. This free event will feature in-store events, promotions
and entertainment. The stores in the Chapel Street historic district (Chapel,
York, High, and College Streets) will stay open until 9 PM and the restaurants
will be open even later. Be
sure to join the fun and meet Karen in person as she signs product at Wave Gallery
this Thursday! |
