A Special Opportunity
Golden opportunities don't come along every day, but earlier this year, talk of one amazing prospect made its way to Rossi Studios. Roman, one of Karen's current licensees, mentioned the possibility of working with Target. Karen was honored to have her collection of trademark flying characters considered by such a well-known, respected retailer. With high hopes and fingers crossed, Karen awaited their response, and was thrilled to hear that Target ordered the creation of eight pieces. Beloved Rossi characters, such as Zelda the Jungle Shopper and Ava di Gardener were chosen to be part of the collection. A special new name was appointed to this unique, sparkling collection of girlfriends - Dazzling Damselles.

From Large to Small, Few to Many
As a fine artist, Karen has been spreading her imagination through the medium of metal since 1985. Her large-scale public sculptures caught the eye of galleries, restaurants and corporate businesses worldwide. Her miniature flying people were inspired from this original line of work, and serve as "little ambassadors" that can travel to all of the places Karen's four to thirty-foot pieces can't. Big or small, Rossi creations have been appearing around the world for years - and it is exciting to have a company that boasts diversity, convenience, and high-quality design as their new vehicle.

Busy Hands Make Happy Hearts
Roman's artisans have made a magnificent translation from the original artwork to all hand-made miniatures. The precision and detail in the creation of each piece is authentic of Karen's style, as though she were making them here in her own studio. The charms adorning each Damselle are uniquely crafted from clear and opaque resins, and hand-painted before they are beaded on wire and attached by careful fingers. Tiny necklaces and sparkles in the hair are a beautiful reflection of the attention that Karen's original sculptures receive in production.

Tidemark Calendars and puzzles featuring Karen's paintings are also available via the Target website, while other designs are being released on fabrics with Benartex. It is through communities such as Target that Karen's artistic magic can transcend the boundaries of metal and adorn every day items for the home.

A Limited Time Only
Dazzling Damselles will be hitting the shelves of Target on October 30th. Quantities are limited, so be sure to make your way to the nearest Target while they are still available. With their sparkly hairdos and cute, resin charms, these ornaments will make excellent gifts for just about anyone on your holiday shopping list! Even though the ornaments themselves won't be around forever, the characters and the Dazzling Damselles brand will continue to grow.
