Sketchers
Sometimes the best ideas are inspired by children. Such was the case in Karen’s recent “Fanciful Flights” workshop. The boys in the class finished quite quickly and turned their attention to cartooning as the girls finished up the details of their flying character ornaments. Karen recognized the interest the boys were taking in their sketches and asked if they would like to be part of a sketchbook workshop in the future. The children all seemed quite enthusiastic, and thus was born the Sketchbook Club. This class for 3rd to 6th graders will be offered at Artsplace in Cheshire, CT. Each week the students will learn a different technique, which they will practice in their sketch books.
