FORGERIES SHOW
Hartford, CT

On December 4, Karen joined several other CT artists as part of the Forgeries Show at Hartford's Charter Oak Cultural Center. Artists were asked to copy one of nine famous paintings in their own inimitable style. Karen chose to make her own whimsical version of the Mona Lisa. Other famous art pieces that were "forged" included Vincent van Gogh's "Starry Night," Munch's "The Scream," and Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss."

Besides being a fun art display, Forgeries was also a fundraiser for arts programming at Charter Oak. Artists donated the majority of their sales to the center.
