CREATIVE CLASSES!

Magic Touch
There's a certain kind of magic that happens when creativity begins to spark. When you get a group of artists together, and they begin to produce their own creations, the feeling is incredible. That's exactly what Karen Rossi experienced as she found herself back in the role of teacher. Returning to the classroom after many years, she recently taught an "Outdoor Sculpture" class at Creative Art Workshop in New Haven, CT. Her class was comprised of a group of five adult students, each with varying levels of experience in sculptural arts. The resulting projects, however, were phenomenal.

Creative Sparks
Within the first couple of classes, each student had begun to find their own special niche. And while the class was structured around specific projects that Karen had planned, the students put their own, distinctive spins on each masterpiece. Toward the end, they were creating art pieces that were completely unique to them. Some of the projects included mosaic gazing balls, plasma cutting, and more.

Future Fun
Karen was so inspired by both her students and her love of teaching, that she has several more workshops and classes planned for the near future. If you are interested in taking one of her classes, please visit the following links. Be prepared to be inspired and creatively motivated!

Metal Magic
Yvonne cut a tree out of metal to create a low relief wall sculpture.

Garden Fairy
Maryann created a beautiful copper fairy through plasma-cutting and metal forming.

Gazing Ball
What started off as a discarded bowling ball was transformed into a gorgeous mosaic gazing ball. Lianne will be thrilled to place this art piece in her garden.

Fabulous Fountain
Ruth creates a fountain as a Hanukkah present for her husband. After plasma-cutting copper leaves, she formed them and attached them to the fountain. On the bottom section, she applied a mosaic.

A Birdhouse Transformed
One student, Ralph, became very interested in transforming everyday objects into creatures with arms, legs, and life-like qualities. After he was finished with it, this birdhouse had a life of its own!
