Have you ever been browsing through a fancy boutique or gift shop, admiring the lovely creations for sale, when you stopped to wonder, “Could I ever make that myself”?  It’s probably a thought that has passed through many crafty minds.  For those who love to create, it’s hard not to imagine yourself making fabulous creations such as those in the windows of the chicest boutiques.  It’s with this concept in mind that Karen set out to create her craft kits.  With her recent return to teaching and her concept to begin in-home workshops, Karen has seen how well her fans have reacted to creating their own “flights.”

Coming to Fruition
The idea for kits was sparked by Karen’s newly-formed connection with Cheshire, CT’s Artsplace.  One of the directors suggested that she create kits so that fans could make their own Rossi creation without the commitment and time of planning an entire Make Your Own Fanciful Flight” party with Karen.  She took the idea and ran with it, ordering paintbrushes, craft paints, and wire, as well as brainstorming packaging ideas.  After several weeks of planning, designing, and assembling the kits, Karen now has two different craft kits available for sale: “Make Your Own Flight” and “Make Your Own Frame.” These crafts can be fully personalized, since the “flight” and frame are made of white-painted metal.  Crafters can use their wildest imaginations to create whatever characters or themes they can dream up.

Norfolk Farmers Market, 49 Greenwoods Road (Rte 44 & Shepard Rd), Norfolk, CT, July 5th and August 30th from 10 AM – 1 PM.

At the Norfolk Farmers Markets, Karen will be giving a demonstration of how to use the craft kits.
