A BEAR AFFAIR

Rossi Studios was recently invaded by bears. Well, one bear, to be precise. This particular bear, which is made of fiberglass and is just about life-size, has been sitting outside of our new studio for a week or so. Just this week, it received its first coats of paint and is now awaiting some additional painting and detail work. As a participant in Northwest Connecticut's "Bear Affair," Karen will be moving the bear to her Norfolk studio. It will be available for viewing at her monthly Open Houses.

Keep checking back for pictures of the bear in-progress. The finished bears will be on display in several towns throughout the Northwest section of CT. Karen's bear will be shown in Norfolk. The display will continue through the summer and fall of 2007, with the bears being auctioned off in November.

In-Progress
The Norfolk scene is completely drawn and we've started to paint some of the buildings. Be sure to stop back to see the bear as it progresses!

Beginning Stages
Karen base-coats her bear to get it ready for the Norfolk scene that will decorate its body.

Night Moves
Karen has to wait until dark for the next step of the bear. She projects her Norfolk illustration onto the bear and then traces the linework.
