Art-chitexture Show

A Love of Metal
After years of focusing on her arts licensing career, Karen Rossi is returning to her first love - the love of creating original metalwork and mixed media sculptures. As she prepares to participate in several upcoming fine art shows, Karen is eagerly creating new pieces. She has been using both her trademark metalworking style and new techniques that incorporate other materials, including stone and wood. These new sculptures will debut at the "Art-chitexture" Show in Danbury, CT later this month.

A Mix of Old and New
At the show, Karen's new creations will also be accompanied by some of her classic metal pieces, such as her metal folding screens and mirrors. She is looking forward to this opportunity to display some of the pieces that started her fine art career alongside the most recent sculptures she's been creating over the past few months. "Art-chitexture" will be comprised of many other fine artists as well. Potters, glass artists, photographers, print makers, and more will all be represented at the juried show. The Rustic Show, featuring one-of-a-kind furniture, decorative ironwork, and architectural elements for rustic interiors, will be running concurrently with "Art-chitexture.

Fine Art Future
In addition to "Art-chitexture" and several other gallery shows in the near future, Karen is also preparing for the Stationery Show in May. The show, which will be held in the Javits Center in New York City, will provide Karen with an opportunity to sell her original designs. In the works are designs for metal ornaments, bookmarks, and a line of greeting cards.

All the Details
The Art-chitexture Show will be open to the public on the weekend of March 31 and April 1 at the O'Neill Center of Western CT State University. Weekend passes are available for $9. For more information on show hours, visit www.art-chitexture.com.

Original Inspiration
At the beginning of her fine arts career, Karen was greatly inspired by New England weathervanes. So, it has been especially rewarding to start designing her very own weathervanes. These pieces are manufactured here in the United States and will be available at the Art-chitexture Show.

Mobiles a Plenty
The Art-chitexture Show will be the perfect place to display all of the new mobiles that Karen has been creating.

Screened In
Amongst some of her older pieces at the Art-chitexture Show will be metal folding screens featuring themes such as Adam and Eve.
