Whether it's the first day of school, a first job, or the first child to be born in a family, "firsts" have a way of marking milestones in our lives. They are precious moments that occur only once, giving them a glow of newness and excitement that will never be felt in quite the same way again.

A Year of Firsts
Here at Rossi Studios, we are in the midst of lots of exciting firsts. With two weddings taking place within two months of each other, Rossi Studios was abuzz with marital bliss this past year. And now, Karen and Greg, as well as Heather and Dan, are enjoying the firsts that naturally accompany the first year of marriage. With the arrival of December has come the beginning of their first holiday season as married couples. Decorating Christmas trees, baking cookies, and buying presents all have a freshness that's different from years past. These things lie in the realm of the "firsts."

Feels Like Home
For Karen and Greg, one of the most exciting details was found in the thought of decorating the house for their first Christmas as husband and wife. Karen couldn't help but buy some special new decorations for this very special year. Longtime friend, Vee Kausel, had created unique holiday garland from antique dessert molds. Karen knew these would be the perfect touch for a "first" Christmas.

Decking the Halls
Rossi Studios' illustrator, Heather, and her new husband, Dan, started their holiday celebrations with a search for the perfect "first" Christmas tree. Both had enjoyed this tradition with their families, but found a new joy in continuing the tradition as a couple. Decorating with the tree with ornaments they had collected while dating, as well as special pieces they'd had since childhood, made for precious Christmas memories.
