Taco:
The Little Chihuahua That Could Unforgettable Any
pet-owner knows that with the loss of an animal, comes an empty void in your heart.
And while new pets can never replace the old ones, they do help those vacant spaces
to heal, making us feel a bit more whole again. When Karen's lab, Shep, passed
away two years ago, she was left with that deep void. Her two dogs had always
been the dynamic duo of Rossi Studios. Brindle always proved to be the bundle
of energy, while Shep remained the steady, calm force who was always keeping an
eye over the comings and goings of the office. Since losing Shep, Brindle has
remained our faithful watchdog, protective and loyal. And yet, Karen had been
feeling for quite some time that a new dog was needed to complete the duo once
again. New
Dog on the Block So enters Taco, a tiny dog who seems to be up to
the challenge of filling some pretty big shoes. Taco was the darling of the Humane
Society. When he was abandoned at their doorstep in a filthy and awful condition,
the staff nurtured him back to health. Each and every staff member fell in love
with the sweet-natured little guy. Two of Taco's nurses, Heather and Rachel, became
especially attached to him. When
Karen made a visit to the Humane Society
last month, it was with hopes of finding a big dog, such as a lab or a golden
retriever. Little did she know that it would be a tiny, 11-year old Chihuahua
who would end up winning over both her and Greg. It soon became clear that Taco
had found himself a new home, but it was with bittersweet feelings that the Humane
Society bid him farewell. They had come to truly enjoy having the little dog around. A
Studio Pup In addition to finding himself with a new place to live,
Taco has also joined the ranks of the Rossi Studios staff. He has melded quite
smoothly into the everyday workings of studio life. Favorite little spots have
already been scouted out. Usually he can be found lounging on a dog bed by Karen's
computer or sleeping quietly on a chair beside one of us as we paint. Taco has
already garnered the favor of all the studio employees, as his quiet and friendly
demeanor make him a perfectly easy dog to have around. With
his arrival, Taco has added a second half to the dynamic duo once again. He and
Brindle are beginning to get used to one another, and we assume that it won't
be long before we find Brindle teaching Taco the ropes of his new role as a first-class
studio mascot.

All
Dolled Up With
his boa and his bone, Taco looks just about as classy as Karen's beloved character,
Zelda the Jungle Shopper.
Back
for a Visit Karen
made a trip back to the Humane Society for a little reunion between Taco and the
staff that had taken such good care of him. Taco's friends, from left to right,
are Morgan, Dr. Bryant, Karen, Heather, and Rachel.
Sleeping
Like a Baby One
of Taco's favorite things to do is curl up under a comfy blanket and enjoy a nice,
long rest.
