Worth the Wait
In our busy world, the best things and the fun things often get pushed to the bottom of the list. They are forced to wait patiently while other, more pressing, responsibilities take priority. Still, this doesn't make the "fun stuff" any less important. It simply proves that in the busyness of life, not everything can find its way to the top of the "To Do" list at the same time.

That brings me to a fabulous little book that we've known about for some time, Jennifer Barretto's "Once Upon a Time - Women Living Their Creative Dreams." We became aware of this book back in 2004, when Jennifer contacted Karen to be one of the featured artists. Karen was quite honored to amongst other renowned artists such as Debbie Mumm, Suzi Finer, and the ladies of Gooseberry Patch. In her book, Jennifer interviews dozens of female artists, all of whom have been successful in their various areas of art. It is a great resource for aspiring artists and an encouraging read for just about anyone.

Renaissance Woman
Jennifer Barretto is certainly a woman of many talents. Besides writing books, she runs her own scrapbook and gift store, Sweet Peas & Memories, and creates a line of scrapbook embellishments called Sweet Peas TM.
