Talk Karen Rossi and fellow
artist, Beth Pite, are currently showing their Judaic-themed work at the Charter Oak Cultural Center
in Hartford, CT. The show is the center's fifth annual "Celebration of
Jewish Arts and Culture." Karen and Beth will talk about their work and
meet fans at an upcoming "Brown Bag Lunch" at Charter Oak. This event is
free and will take place on November 20, 2009 at Noon. Coffee and cookies
will be provided, but guests are asked to bring a bag lunch. Ellington Scenic Home Tour
Karen's artwork will have a part in CHR's Ellington Scenic House Tour. Seven spectacular homes have already been confirmed as part of the tour: Aborn Castle, 265 Somers Road; the Dealba home, 91 Sadds Mill Road; the Massaro home, 36 Pease Farm Road; the Fowler home, 27 Crystal Ridge Drive; Kerr House, 28 Crystal Ridge Drive; McLaughlin House, 25 Crystal Ridge Drive; and a newly built home, located at 20 Pease Farm Road. In addition to touring these beautiful homes, guests can ride on a vintage bus, courtesy of Double A Charter Services of Rocky Hill. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 at the door. - Enjoy Lunch

Winding Trails, Farmington, CT September 13, 2009, 8 AM - 10 AM Karen will attend the 3rd Annual Women's Triathlon on Sunday, September 13. Her exclusively-designed pin will be given to all the participants. Participants will swim a 1/2 mile loop in the Winding Trails lake, cycle 12 miles through the quiet roads of Farmington and Avon and then enjoy a flat 5K run through the wide dirt trails in Winding Trails. During this parent & child workshop, participants will paint one of Karen’s signature Fanciful Flight metal bodies and decorate it with beads and charms. Fundraiser Karen Rossi has many of her original metal sculptures on display and for sale at the Burlington Library. 35% of the proceeds will benefit the library's Children's Room, as the money will go toward a sculpture fund. The hope is to create a colorful and creative space using Karen Rossi sculptures. As part of the exhibit, Karen's alphabet mobile is hanging above the children's circulation desk. Several wall sculptures, as well as her Noah print, are on display in the Community Room. And, her Pilgrim Imports ornaments are also being displayed in the library's showcases.
