EVENTS: Artist Residency and Exhibition at Ethel Walker School Karen has been invited to be the Resident Artist at Ethel Walker. Along with workshops dedicated to the students at the school, she will have an extensive exhibition at the art gallery. The exhibition dates are Sept 9 through Oct 25. The gallery is located in the Bell Library. Hours of the gallery are 9-5 Mon thru Fri and 1-5 on Sundays. Expo 2008 on the Guilford Green Karen will take part in the 51st annual Guilford Art Center Craft Expo. She will have her original artwork and sculptures for sale. at Artsplace Students will learn grouting techniques and create a beautiful 12" X 12" mosaic of colored glass and tile, that may be inset into a table or chair or hung on its own. Circle - Mosaics Classes Inner Circle and Karen Rossi will team up to present an exploration of mosaics. The classes will begin with a trip to Mohegan Sun on June 25th, to observe the numerous mosaics that grace the walls of the casino. Two follow-up classes in July will allow students to create their own mosaic masterpieces. West
Hartford Arts Karen will be an artist-in-residence at WHAL during the month of June. WHAL teachers will create projects inspired by Karen's favorite artists. Karen will visit with students and incorporate their drawings onto the sides of her van. The final week, students will work with Karen to apply color as they paint her new "art-mobile". Hartford Women's Conference Karen Rossi will be part of a women's panel at the Greater Hartford Women's Conference. She will also be joined by Janet Peckinpaugh, L.
